Event Date: Saturday, March 17, 2012 Begins At: 9:00 AM Ends At: 12:00 PM Event Type: Volunteer Volunteer for this event Description: The Friends of Force Lake and Columbia Slough Watershed Council have been working hard this winter to revitalize this area, planting 540 plants along the banks. We’ll be finishing up the last of this season’s work by plating a few more trees and shrubs, and mulching all the little babes planted this winter. All this work will directly help prevent erosion, suppress weeds, and add wildlife habitat. The birds will love you for it.
Dress well: Come prepared for any weather, wet or cold. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and some sturdy shoes. We’ll have gloves, beverages, and pastries.
