Eyes on the Slough was a volunteer monitoring program in the 1990s and early 2000s that made significant impacts on the Slough. Volunteer monitors would paddle a section of the slough and report on the conditions they found. Due in part to all their hard work, the Slough is now cleaner than it has been in the past 75 years!
This program of the Council is discontinuing, and no new volunteer monitors are being recruited at this time. If you are interested in other ways that you can help the Slough while paddling, please contact Sam Schongalla at sam.schongalla@columbiaslough.org.
