Over 200 people gathered with The Columbia Slough Watershed Council at the Ninth Annual Awards Celebration & Silent Auction on Friday, February 1st, 2008 at the Acadian Ballroom in NE Portland. The Celebration is a way to recognize and celebrate the Winners of the 2007 Watershed Council Awards who have provided outstanding contributions to the Columbia Slough and the Council this year.

Among the mingling, auctioning, and the skits & songs, our guests were connecting with each other and forming the relationships that make the Watershed Council so successful.

We are delighted to report that the Silent Auction helped us to bring in over $3,300.00! These funds will go directly to support our work in the watershed and towards improving our education programs, outreach activities, stewardship projects and Council operations.

Thanks to the dedication of Slough friends, supporters, participants, partners and volunteers, we are able to provide quality outdoor education, recreation and stewardship opportunities for the Columbia Slough Watershed community. The Watershed Council appreciates your support, and we thank all of you who were a part of this exciting celebration.
