Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and FBC.PDX leaders Amanda and Hazel for a day of biking and birding! This event is a space for BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent participants and their allies to gather, ride, and bird together in community. The group will bike ~8 miles from Vanport to Smith and Bybee and back, exploring some of the most bird-rich habitat in the Portland area. All participants will also be entered to win a pair of Nocs binoculars and a guide book!
What to bring: Bring a bike, helmet, lock (just in case), water, binoculars, and your sense of adventure for this unique ride. Snacks will be available, as well as extra binoculars for folks to borrow.
Getting there: This event will start and end at 1809 N Broadacre Rd, Portland, OR 97217, a short ride from the Delta Park/Vanport MAX Station. Free parking is available on site.
Accessibility: The ride will be mostly paved with some gravel sections. This ride is best suited for intermediate riders. Participants can also expect to walk ~0.25 miles throughout the event. For more accessibility information
