New This Year: Slough School Volunteer Training!
Have you volunteered with Slough School or have wanted to?

Join Education Director Jennifer Starkey and Volunteer Program Coordinator Liz Coll for a Slough School Training. We are planning a training as an opportunity for our volunteers to get a better understanding of the topics we teach on our field trips, and how to best support students. This way you feel comfortable supporting us on our field trips.

If you are new to volunteering with the Council you will be required to pass a background check through Portland Parks, as well as reviewing and signing our volunteer handbook before participating in our programs. Please visit the Volunteer Portal for more information.

Snacks, cold & hot beverages will be available. ☕️

What to bring: Water, shoes comfortable walking in, and a readiness to learn.

Accessibility: Porta potty on site, and office bathroom. This event will include standing, walking and sometimes bending over for prolong periods of time.
