Come volunteer at this former hazelnut farm that has recently been converted into one of East County’s incredible natural areas. CSWC and Portland Parks & Recreation will provide the plants and tools and we will all help restore one of the only remaining surface creeks flowing into the Columbia Slough. Meeting Location: Wilkes Creek Headwaters, 15401 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR, 97230. Please park along the side of the road on NE Fremont St or NE 154th Ave.

Public Transportation: Take bus line #21 and get off at NE Sandy & 154th. Walk south on NE 154th Ave for about 5 minutes and make a right turn where the road curves left and becomes NE Fremont. Look for Columbia Slough event signs.

Restroom: There is an ADA accessible restroom nearby at Wilkes City Park.

Accessibility: Work will take place on soft, uneven ground.
