Stewardship Saturday Kelley Point Park Mulching Event

  • Kelley Point Park N Kelley Point Park Rd Portland, OR, 97203 United States (map)

Come join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation as we mulch and care for recently planted native shrubs and trees! Adding mulch around plants helps them hold onto moisture during the dry summer months, and helps keep weedy plants out.

Kelley Point Park is located at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers, where the Columbia Slough meets the Willamette. The park includes over 100 acres of natural areas and hosts a variety of wildlife, including beavers, otters, deer, ospreys, and bald eagles. We will be continuing restoration efforts to improve the riparian area next to the Columbia Slough.

**Note: Please register for the event in order to be notified for any updates or cancellations!**

To ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty!

All tools, gloves, and training to do the task is provided.
