This non-paddling event will be led by Stewardship Director, Caitlin Costello, in partnership with a large CSWC funder, Leatherman! Volunteers will support this event by greeting participating Leatherman staff, having people sign a waiver, and helping them pick out an activity and get geared up! Activities will include invasive removal oversight or planting oversight (dependant on volunteer’s comfort level). This would include teaching and reviewing methods, plant identification, tool use, and safety. Invasives are primarily blackberry and ivy. Volunteers (Leatherman staff) will join in rotations, likely working for an hour or two at a time. Restrooms are available inside the building. Parking is limited and may include street parking with a small walk to the campus.
