¿Qué es Explorando?
Explorando es un evento comunitario bilingüe estilo festival. El objetivo del evento es presentar a las comunidades latinas de habla hispana en el norte de Portland la cuenca de Columbia Slough, organizaciones locales sin fines de lucro y otros recursos en el área. ¡Habrá todo tipo de actividades divertidas, como remar, observar aves, comida y bebida gratis, música, búsqueda del tesoro y más!

Explorando será el 20 de julio de 2024, de 1 a 4 p.m. en el Parque Natural Whitaker Ponds.
¿Cómo me involucro?
Hay diferentes maneras en que puede participar en Explorando: puede asistir como participante de forma gratuita, ser parte del comité de planificación del evento o ser una empresa/organización que participa en el evento.
Los miembros del comité asistirán a reuniones de planificación mensuales (enero - julio de 2024), recibirán un estipendio por participar en las reuniones y en el evento en sí, decidirán qué actividades y recursos habrá en el evento y reclutarán voluntarios para el evento.
Envíe un correo electrónico a Maya Hurst-Mayr si está interesado en unirse al comité o participar como empresa/organización asociada. Contamos con espacios para mesa.
What is Explorando?
Explorando is a festival-style, bilingual community event. The goal of the event is to introduce Spanish-speaking Latinx/a/o communities in North Portland to the Columbia Slough Watershed, local nonprofit organizations, and other resources in the area. There will be all sorts of fun activities, such as paddling, bird watching, free food & drinks, music, a scavenger hunt, and more!

Explorando will be on July 20, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Whitaker Ponds Nature Park.
How do I get involved?
There are a few different ways you can be involved in Explorando: you can attend as a participant for free, be part of the planning committee for the event, or be a business/organization participating in the event.
Members of the committee will attend monthly planning meetings (January - July 2024), receive a stipend for participating in meetings and the event itself, decide what activities and resources will be at the event, and recruit volunteers for the event.
