Bike & Bird for Earth Day!

In early-spring the days are long and cool. Birds have started migrating north to Portland and many of the birds that over-winter in Portland haven’t left yet.

So, for the 3rd year in a row, our bird walk leaders Thomas Meizen and Ryan Gilpin will set out trying to break their record of seeing 100 species in a day without using a drop of gasoline. This year, they are inviting the community on this prep ride, to celebrate Earth Day weekend, and to check out some of the best birding spots in Portland. The group will ride ~8 miles from Vanport to Smith and Bybee and back, hitting some of the best bird habitat that Portland has to offer. Come check out, how Thomas and Ryan bird watch while biking and help them decide which are the best spots to spend their time on the big day.
